Drawing together experts from throughout the Peninsula-Delaware and Baltimore-Washington Conferences and beyond, this fall’s Training Tuesday webinars will provide local churches with valuable resources as they grow in vitality.
“A vital church is a church whose mission, ministry and mindset are geared toward thriving rather than surviving. Its focus is on deepening discipleship, building relationships and establishing partnerships so it can have a significant impact within the communities it serves and beyond,” said the Rev. Jackie Ford, the Conference Director of Connectional Ministries. “Training Tuesdays teach congregations how to become vital and increase their effectiveness beyond the church walls.”
The Training Tuesday sessions, held via Zoom, will focus on the affiliation’s Pillars of Vitality. These include: see all the people, deepening discipleship, love like Jesus loved, and multiply impact.

“Continuing education enables, empowers and equips. It enables disciples of Jesus Christ to remain relevant. It empowers them to grow in their discipleship. And, it equips disciples to become more effective in making disciples for the transformation of the world,” Ford said. “As disciples of Christ, we are encouraged to learn new and effective ways of reaching and ministering to all God’s people. Training Tuesdays help disciples grow in their knowledge of Jesus Christ and strengthen their participation in the ministry and mission of God.”
