Wyoming UMC hosts Health Fair

To all the members of the churches in Dover District

The Health Ministry Team of the Pen-Del Conference has organized a Health Fair to be held at The Wyoming United Methodist Church on Saturday October 1, 2011 starting at 9 a.m. and ending at 2 p.m.

The participation in this Fair is voluntary and free of cost.  Morning coffee and Lunch will also be provided at no charge.

We offer this opportunity to our congregations simply because health has become a national issue and requires that we as one people together address it to promote healthy lifestyles, proper nutritious diets, exercise and satisfying community growth.

The Fair will offer ample opportunity to the participants to visit several health related demonstrations, attend a 30-40 minute presentation by experts in the field of healthy eating and active living; browse through commercial and private companies displays; participate in some hands-on exercises viz. AED, CPR, Zumba dancing etc.; be tested for Blood pressure, diabetes, skin cancer, body weight, body fat, water, bone and muscle mass,; be able to ask questions and inquire into possible available resources in the community and join us in our spiritual arena to create a healthy motivational force suitable for our congregations and communities.

People of all ages are invited and welcome.  There will be door prizes and favors to celebrate the event.
