Rev. Karen Bunnell

The Dunkle Mackey Preaching Seminar board is pleased to announce that we will be offering a three-hour workshop in October entitled “Planning Worship and Preaching for Advent and Christmas.”  The workshop will be held in two locations on two different days.  Participants can choose which workshop they want to attend.

The dates, locations and leaders are:
Saturday, October 1st, 9 am – 12 noon at St. Luke’s UMC in Denton
Leaders:  The Revs. Glenn Catley and Karen Bunnell
Saturday, October 8th, 9 am - 12 noon at Whatcoat UMC in Dover
Leaders:  The Revs. Grant Johnson and Karin Tunnell

The workshop will help participants plan for the Advent/Christmas seasons and will provide creative ideas for their preaching in those seasons.  We believe it will be particularly helpful for those who are new to serving a church, but it will be helpful to all who choose to attend.  We envision not only the leaders giving information and inspiration, but also the participants sharing with each other.

Our prayer is that participants will leave the workshop with solid ideas and plans for their Advent/Christmas worship and preaching.

The cost for participating is only $10/person, which will be paid on the day of the event.  (Make checks out to “Dunkle Mackey Preaching Seminar.)  CEUs (continuing education units) will be offered.

We hope you’ll be interested in taking part in this workshop.  To register, please fill out the attached form at https://forms.gle/segjDUY8nmCFtjvMA.

If you have any questions, or need any further information, please don’t hesitate to contact Rev. Karen Bunnell at kbunnell@comcast.net or 443-553-5209.
