Being a product of the scripture, Proverbs 22:6, which states to, “Train up a child in the way that he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.”, from a very young age Travon was always in church serving and doing the work of the ministry. Travon received the gift of salvation at the young age of 8 during an all-night prayer service at his then church, Deliverance Evangelistic Apostolic Temple, under the leadership of his grandmother, Pastor Diane Huggins. He followed the guidance of his mother, Minister Patricia A. Wooten, and joined the Cathedral of Fresh Fire in 2002 at the age of 11. With the hand of God and the call to ministry being upon his life, it was not long before Travon began to serve in ministry at the Cathedral of Fresh Fire. Travon worked closely with his then Youth Pastor, serving as his adjutant and working with the Youth Ministry. Travon was made Jr. Deacon in 2005 and was ordained as Deacon in 2007. It was in this same year, at the age of 16, that Travon also preached his first sermon entitled, “Don’t Lose Your Anointing”, during a platform service at New Pentecostal United Holy Church in Wilmington, Delaware.
Travon’s then Pastor, Reverend Emma L. Creamer has always known that the hand of God was upon Travon’s life, but it was in the year 2012 that she felt, by the leading of the Holy Spirit, to ask him if he was ready to walk in ministry as a minister of the gospel. Travon agreed, and in 2013 was anointed as minister under Co-Pastor Helena M. Creamer. On April 17th, 2016, Travon preached during a Sunday morning Youth Service when, by the unction of the Holy Spirit, God placed it upon Pastor Creamer to anoint Travon as the new Youth President of the Cathedral of Fresh Fire!
Travon pursued his undergraduate studies at Delaware State University, earning his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management, concentration in Finance & Banking in the year 2014. Travon believes in the scripture where the Apostle Paul states in 2nd Timothy 2:15 to “Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of Truth.”. With this in mind, Travon is now a student of Palmer Theological Seminary at Eastern University, in pursuit of receiving his Master’s degree in Divinity.
Travon prays to be a vessel that God can use and trust to lead people back to Him. His mission is to go into all the earth and demonstrate the miracle working, life changing power of God so that all will know and believe that Jesus is a living savior that cares for His people! Travon’s goal is to live the scripture of Proverbs 3:5-6, which states to “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart, and lean not to thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths.” Travon has committed himself to the work of the Lord, believing the word of God when Jesus proclaims that if we “seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, then all these things shall be added unto you”! Travon is a saved, sanctified, and Holy Ghost filled servant who desires nothing more, than to please the Lord in all that he does!
