Business Office Administrator

Purpose: The Business Office Administrator is a member of the Peninsula-Delaware Conference Resource Team. The Resource Team exists to serve Christ and to resource, support and enable Local Congregations and assist the Annual Conference Boards and Agencies as they seek to provide resources for ministry and mission. The Conference Resource Center provides linkage with the Annual Conference as well as between the local church, the Districts, and the General Church. The position of Business Office Administrator exists specifically to provide support to the Director of Administrative Services/Conference Benefits Officer.

The position of Business Office Administrator exists specifically to provide support to the Director of Administrative Services/Conference Benefits Officer.

Accountable to:

Director of Administrative Services/Conference Benefits Officer
Conference Personnel Committee and Conference Personnel Policies and Procedures
 
Works closely with:
Accountant
Benefits Administrator
 
Responsibilities:

  • Input and account for all deposits.
  • Insurance payments
  • Pension payments
  • Benevolence remittances
  • Sundry Cash
  • Provide support for receiving "Local Church Reports to Annual Conference".
  • Provide support in maintaining Clergy Appointment records in BR Console.
  • Provide other administrative support to the Director of Administrative Services/Conference Benefits Officer as needed.
  • Provide back-up coverage for other support staff responsibilities as needed
 
Skills required:
  • Excellent written and oral communications.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in team environment.
  • Strong organizational skills, able to prioritize multiple tasks with attention to details.
  • Proficient in MS Word and MS Excel.
  • Experience with Web based content management. Willing to acquire and apply new skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
