Sun Valley Indian School

Sun Valley Indian School is a Christian Boarding School for Native American children grades 1-8. Most of the children are Navajo. The school integrates Christianity with the Native American heritage and has brought many children to Christ. The facilities at the school are excellent. Linens and a washer and dryer are provided. We eat in the cafeteria with the children. No special skills are needed as there is something for anyone to do. Some of the work projects are painting, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, masonry, as well as, cleaning, office work, library, cutting Campbell labels, and kitchen duty. This is an excellent first time mission trip. Many people have gone on this trip several times and some have returned with their own teams. This will be my 7th year. The staff are wonderful, dedicated people. This mission is truly a Blessing. We also take a day to visit the Grand Canyon. Sunday worship is at a Navajo Church on the reservation where the service is conducted in English as well as Navajo.
