Financial year 2011 ends December 31, 2011. Final 2011 Remittances & Clergy Benefit (Pension & Insurance) payments must be received by the Business Office no later than Thursday, January 5, 2012, in order to receive credit in 2011. To insure proper credit, please DO NOT use the postal service for 2011 remittances after December 29, 2011. The Bishop Felton Edwin May Resource Center will be closed December 30, 2011 and January 2, 2012; however, there is a mail drop in the front door of the building if you wish to hand deliver your final remittance. If you have any questions, please call the Business Office at (302) 674-2626. Thank you for your cooperation.
TREASURERS:
Please use the 2012 Benevolence Forms when submitting all remittances to the Conference Business Office. The new form has been renumbered and the line items repositioned.
Is Your Church Paying Apportionments by Online Banking If your church is paying apportionments using Online Banking, click on the Benevolence Remittance Form link above and save it to your computer. When you initiate a payment from the bank, complete the Benevolence Form and save the changes, then attach the newly saved form to an email and send to Joe Moore at jmoore@pen-del.org. Payments can not be processed without a Benevolence Form indicating how the payment is to be applied. Thank You for your cooperation.
Acknowledgement Procedures:
The Business Office will send a statement to the pastor indicating remittance payments received for the month. If Treasurer’s would like a statement emailed to them or the church, please provide an email address to Joe Moore at jmoore@pen-del.org and in the subject line of the email, indicate ‘Benevolence Remittance Statement’. Also identify your pastor and church in the body of the email.
Pastors and Treasurers:
If you change your email address, please let us know so our records can be kept updated. If you get a statement that’s not yours please let us know.
Reports:
At the end of each month we will post the Conference & District Apportionments received by churches within each district. These reports are cumulative and represent all receipts from January 1 through the end of a month. If a payment was sent at the very end of the month it may not have reach in time to be processed and reflected in the report.
