Insurance: Don’t Leave Home Without It (seriously)
VIM Teams must have insurance. Even if you have medical insurance, you need this insurance. It is inexpensive, and it covers unforeseen events. For example, regular medical insurance is often suspended in disaster zones. Also, if a team member has a serious medical event (or dies) the insurance will not only pay for care, but will pay to transport them home. These are not things we typically consider, but they are extremely expensive in the rare occasions they occur.
