General Conference 2012
The Peninsula-Delaware Conference General/Jurisdictional Conference Delegation is holding two Listening Posts:
Wednesday, February 15 from 7 to 9 at Wesley Temple, Salisbury, MD
and
Tuesday, February 28 from 7 to 9 at Cornerstone UMC, Bear, DE.
What is a Listening Post?
This is an opportunity for members of the Delegation to share some of the most talked about legislation coming to the floor of the General Conference for Consideration. It is an opportunity for members of the Peninsula-Delaware Conference to ask questions or to share their concerns. The Listening Posts will open with a devotional. There will be approximately 45 minutes of presentation on the most pressing legislation and approximately an hour where persons can ask questions or express concerns.
The Listening Posts will end promptly at 9. The contact information for members of the delegation will be shared at the listening posts in case persons have questions or concerns they did not get to ask or express at the Listening Posts.
If you would like members of the delegation to be prepared with information on a certain topic or question, please email that topic or question to Sandra Steiner Ball, ssteinerball@pen-del.org Sandra is the chair of the delegation.
