Update on Congo Partnership Gathering – October 31 at Avenue U.M. Church, Milford, Delaware
The Congo Partnership invites you to come hear about the amazing work God is doing in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Unfortunately, due to an emergency requiring Bishop Lunge’s presence in Switzerland before coming to the U.S., he will be unable to attend the October 31 event. However, Bishop Johnson will be with us to welcome Dr. Adolphe Yamba Yamba, our Mission Coordinator and Director of Mpasa Medical & Nutrition Center, who will bring updates about the work of the Partnership in Congo. After his presentation there will be time for questions and conversation so come join us! Bishop Lunge will arrive in time for the 7:00 p.m. November 1 gathering at the Lima U.M. Church in Pennsylvania.
20 N Church St, Milford, DE 19963
This will provide an opportunity to meet the newly elected Central Congo Episcopal Area Bishop Daniel Lunge and Mission Coordinator Dr. Adolphe Yamba Yamba as hosted by Bishop Peggy Johnson.
Bishop Daniel Lunge was elected in March to serve as Bishop of the Central Congo Episcopal Area
with whom we have our relationship with the Peter D. Weaver Congo Partnership. This will be Bishop Lunge’s first trip to the Partner conferences; Pen-Del, EPA, and W. North Carolina.
Dr. Yamba Yamba is the Congo Partnership Mission Coordinator in Congo and also serves as Director of the Mpasa Medical & Nutrition Center, one of our major projects.
The main opportunity for the public is an evening gathering at Avenue U.M. in Milford, DE. People will have the opportunity to hear Bishop Lunge give his vision for the Episcopal Area and an opportunity for him to express his thanks to the Partnership for all they have done working together with his Episcopal Area.
