YPM Colombian Mission Experience
|When||Sunday, August 13, 2017 to Wednesday, August 23, 2017|
|Add to my calendar||Google, iCalendar/Outlook, Outlook Online, Yahoo|
In addition to learning an introduction to the history of Colombia and the socio-economic complexity of its population, the missionaries will learn from firsthand experience the resilient role of the Principe de Paz Colombian Methodist Church in a neighborhood located in the south of Bogotá City. Prince of Peace’s ally, CEPALC -a non-profit organization that provides alternative channels of communication to victims of domestic and social violence- will be a guidance to deepen the cultural and the spiritual immersion.
The estimated cost is around $1500 but it could be lower. The cost will include flights, internal transportation, accommodations, accident, and life insurance (http://umvimnej.org/mission-insurance/), meals, and material for the mission work.
In addition to this, missionaries need to:
1) have valid passport (the earlier they process it the better)
2) get the immunization shots
3) attend two team meetings before the date of departure
